Dilawar Ajani, MD

Internal Medicine

Dr. Dilawar Ajani brings over 42 years of experience in internal medicine and more than three decades of clinical research leadership to the Greater Houston area. Board-certified and highly respected in the field, Dr. Ajani specializes in managing complex chronic conditions while pioneering advancements in therapeutic development.

As a principal and sub-investigator on hundreds of clinical trials, he has collaborated with top pharmaceutical companies and research institutions to explore new treatments in metabolic disease, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, vaccines, and beyond. His work has contributed to groundbreaking therapies now available to patients worldwide.

Dr. Ajani currently practices at Synergy Groups Medical, with clinic locations throughout Houston and Missouri City. Known for his deep clinical knowledge and compassionate, patient-first approach, he is a trusted physician to many. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Gujarati, Dr. Ajani is especially dedicated to serving Houston’s diverse communities with integrity, empathy, and excellence.

Caroline Mbogua, MD

Internal Medicine

Dr. Caroline Mbogua is a dual-trained Med-Peds physician (Internal Medicine & Pediatrics) committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for patients across all ages. With a strong clinical foundation and a passion for comprehensive wellness, she provides personalized care that focuses on disease prevention and long-term health outcomes.

As a covered provider under Synergy Groups Medical, Dr. Mbogua serves both pediatric and adult patients across the Houston area. She is known for her thorough approach, attention to detail, and the trust she builds with her patients. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Mbogua founded her own nonprofit medical practice, driven by a mission to provide meaningful, accessible care to underserved communities.

Deirdre C. McMullen, MD

Family Medicine Physician

Dr. Deirdre C. McMullen is a board-certified family medicine physician with over 20 years of experience delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to patients across the Houston area. Known for her patient-first philosophy, Dr. McMullen offers a full spectrum of primary care, from preventive screenings and chronic disease management to women’s health and wellness counseling.

A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, she completed her residency at the Memorial Southwest Family Practice Program. Today, she leads her thriving private practice, Deirdre McMullen, MD, PA, while also serving as a Principal Investigator for Phase II, III, and IV clinical trials, helping advance treatments in hypertension, diabetes, infectious disease, women’s health, and more.

Dr. McMullen holds staff privileges at Memorial Hermann Southwest and maintains affiliations with leading research networks. Her dedication to quality care, patient education, and medical innovation has earned her the trust of families across Houston. With a calm, approachable demeanor and a deep commitment to long-term wellness, Dr. McMullen continues to make a meaningful impact both in her clinic and in the broader medical community.

Arsheen Memon

Operations

Arsheen Memon is an experienced clinical research professional with a strong focus on site management and operational excellence. With a background in overseeing multi-site clinical trials, Arsheen has played a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, streamlining workflows, and driving successful trial execution from initiation to closeout.

Her expertise spans site coordination, budget and contract negotiations, staff training, and maintaining high standards for patient safety and data integrity. Known for her leadership, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Arsheen is dedicated to advancing clinical research through efficient, high-quality site operations that support breakthrough medical discoveries.

Minhas Ladiwala

Family NP - C

Minhas Ladiwala, FNP, is a compassionate and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner based at Katy Wellness Center in Katy, Texas. With a deep-rooted passion for personalized health and wellness, Minhas blends integrative and functional medicine with evidence-based clinical care to support his patients’ long-term health goals.

In addition to his primary care expertise, Minhas has robust experience in clinical research, including active participation in Phases II, III, and IV clinical trials.
